From OR Tambo International Airport
Take R24 Johannesburg. Take the Durban/Kimberly off ramp and connect thereafter to M2 W Johannesburg. Take thereafter M1 South, direction Bloemfontein/Soweto. Take exit 7 (Booysen road) and keep left. Turn left at the second traffic-light (Mentz Street) and left at T-junction (Ophir Booysen Rd). Drive straight ahead, you will pass the FNB soccer stadium on your left and then see signs leading you in to Soweto on Soweto Highway (M70).
Keep on driving straight ahead. Pass Engen petrol station on your left. Keep straight in the roundabout. After going under the railway bridge turn left at the traffic light into Carr Street. Straight ahead and follow the brown sign "Lebo's Soweto Backpackers" pointing right into Poka street (turning into Ramushu street). Left in to Pooe street. There is a mural-painting at the entrance of the backpacker and it is facing a park.
From Johannesburg
Connect to M1 South direction Bloemfontein/Soweto and follow directions above.
From Pretoria (N1 North)
Follow N1 South direction Johannesburg, then take N1 Bloemfontein. Take the Soweto off-ramp N17 and turn right. At the roundabout, take the third exit on to Soweto Highway (M70), direction Elias Motsoaledi / Meadowlands. After going under the railway bridge turn left at the traffic light into Carr Street. Straight ahead and follow the brown sign "Lebo's Soweto Backpackers" pointing right into Poka street (turning into Ramushu street). Left in to Pooe street. There is a mural-painting at the entrance of the backpacker and it is facing a park.
From Kruger area / Witbank/eMahlahleni, coming on N12
Follow N12 Kimberly, take the N1 Pretoria/Roodeport off ramp. Take the Soweto highway off-ramp (M70) leading you in to Soweto, drive straight ahead. Pass Engen petrol station on your left.
